Why Sovereign Soul Insights?

In starting this offering, I feel led to share a little bit about why the name.

When you hear the word “sovereign”, what happens? Do you notice anything in our body? Does it make you uncomfortable, or do you get that same soul-level recognition that I have of a word that is meant for every individual human?

The word sovereign speaks to me at a deep level. It brings a sacredness out for the belief that all of us should have autonomy over ourselves in a way that allows us to express ourselves fully and without apology. This can be tricky, because as a culture (particularly in the West where I’ve grown up) we have a wound around authority and what people do when they step into power. It’s been shamed on many levels as a reaction to that pain. But those examples are from people acting upon their power from a place of wounding.

So what would it look like if we did it simply from a place of self-love, freedom, and without any ill-will towards others? Can you feel the confidence start to show up when you imagine that? What about comfort, relief, maybe an energetic spark? Think of what we can do for our and other people’s good when we start to show up from that place.

Sitting with what my intentions are in offering readings to clients, one of the biggest themes for me was supporting others so they stop giving away their own power. We have more influence in our lives than we sometimes want to admit, and oftentimes we’re told that at possible the worst time we could hear it. As many have said, “life is not happening to you, but for you.”

What actually makes the shift? Small steps putting that into practice. Taking one thing at a time in our life, and acting differently in that situation.
